How to install custom ROM using SafeStrap on Galaxy Note 3?

Before starting we should download a custom ROM which we want to have on our Galaxy Note 3, your Galaxy Note 3 should be rooted to install any custom ROM, root your Galaxy Note 3 if it is not,  as we know they are too many benefits of rooting. After doing this now it’s time to install custom ROM using Safe Strap on your Galaxy Note 3 it’s a step wise procedure if followed correctly you will succeed  by the grace of God,

Step 1: First you have to download SafeStrap .apk file for your Galaxy note 3 model, you can download it from

A file explorer app will be used such as My File app to browse into your download directory and helps you to open and install SafeStrap.apk

You might need to check “Unknown Sources” On. For this:
>>Go to Settings
>>Go to Security

After doing this SafeStrap ask your permission to be installed on your Galaxy Note 3, just tap on Install.

Step 2: After the installation, open the SafeStrap app and tap on GRANT when Superuser  request window pop-up

Step3: After this a window appear having option of “Install Recovery” by tapping it SafeStrap Recovery will be installed on your Galaxy Note 3

After some time “State: Not Installed” changed to “Stat: Installed” and Installation complete can be seen at the bottom of your Galaxy Note 3 screen.

Step 4: Now it’s time to reboot your Galaxy Note 3. During booting process a SafeStrap Screen will appear on which you have to choose “Recovery” from “Recovery” and “Continue” to boot into SafeStrap Recovery.

Step 5: When you enter in SafeStrap Recovery, you will see a menu having options like “Boot Options”, “Install”, “Backup”, “Restore”, “Mount”, “Wipe”, “Advanced” and “Reboot”.

Step 6: It is highly recommended for your good to make at least one backup ROM, so tap on the “Back Up” from the menu and backup your stock ROM. When it is finished (Backup should be stored in “/TWRP/backup” directory) you can copy this backup ROM to somewhere on your computer so that you can have a good space on your phone.

Step 7: Now it’s time to install a custom ROM, for this you have to make you have to make a ROM slot. These are “Virtual” ROM shows that SafeStrap creates. You can install it on “Stock ROM” slot but it’s not good for you.

Step 8: After choosing a ROM slot, you will be able to adjust the partition size for system, data and cache. Data partition is your internal storage space for ROM; you would leave everything along except data partition. You can set internal storage for the ROM as bigger as you want.
After setting your partition, tap on “Create ROM Slot” which you can see at the bottom of your Galaxy Note 3.

Step 9: After creating your first ROM Slot in selected Slot, it will be highlighted in “Green Color”. Which means your phone will now boot your selected slot not the Stock ROM slot.

Step 10: Do not tap on reboot at this moment because we don’t have a ROM on our selected ROM Slot, you just create a memory allocation for your ROM to b installed on your Galaxy Note 3, you need to install the ROM which you like to install on your Galaxy Note 3 for this you have to go to;

Tap on “Wipe”
to do a data wipe/factory reset.

Step 11: Now, choose “Install” from the Main Menu and find zip file of your ROM you want to install and install it.

Step 12: After installing your Custom ROM, now its time to Reboot your system.

Step 13: After some while you will see WELCOME on your Galaxy Note 3, which means your custom ROM has been installed successfully.
If for some reason your custom ROM do not Boot or you don’t like it on your Galaxy Note 3, you can Boot Back into SafeStrap Recovery then switch your ROM slot back to Stock ROM slot and boot into Stock ROM.

Before moving toward this your Galaxy Note 3 should fulfill these requirements;

>>SafeStrap should be installed on your Galaxy Note 3
>> 4 gigs of memory should be available for your Galaxy Note 3
>> A ROM for your Galaxy Note 3
>> Battery of your Galaxy Note 3 should be charged at least 50%

After fulfilling these  requirements you will be able to proceed to install any Custom ROM on stock portion over Stock Quote on your Galaxy Note 3, it is a step wise procedure, which if followed correctly you will succeed with the grace of God. Steps are as follow;

Step 1: First you have to Reboot in SafeStrap and tap on Recovery.

Step 2: After taping on recovery you have to tap on “Boot Option” from Main Menu. Create a ROM Slot on ROM Slot 1. Keep the default values because it is just a temporary.

Step 3: When the Virtual Portion is done. Go back to “Boot Options”, “ROM Slot 1” and activate the slot by just tapping on “Activate”.

Step 4: Now go To SafeStrap main menu and tap on “Install”, and find the ROM you want to flash on your Galaxy Note 3.

Step 5: You have a installed ROM on your Virtual Portion. Go back to main menu and BACK it up, you only need to. Back Up both “DATA” and “SYSTEM” this should be done because its like the back bone for your Galaxy Note 3.

Step 6: Go to main menu and tap on “Boot Option”, “Stock ROM” and tap on “Activate” to activate it. After activating the Stock ROM go to ROM Slot 1 and delete the portion by just tapping on “Delete”.

Step 7: After deleting you have to go into main menu and tap on “Restore” to restore your backed up ROM Slot 1 to your Stock Partition. Make sure to restore “DATA” and “SYSTEM”
